OUR STORY

It started with a building.
It became a calling.

In November 2025, Konstantin & Diana Reznik were looking to purchase more investment real estate in the coal region of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania to add to their portfolio and came across a listing of a 25,000 sq. ft. former Catholic school in Minersville, PA. Intrigued by the prospects of the building, they went to look at the building. While inside the building, looking at abandoned classrooms, the former cafeteria, and a large gym, they both looked at each other as something spoke to them.

For several years before that, while owning and managing real estate in the area, and seeing significant community needs, a dream was born to start a new community focused church in the area. Konstantin, a real estate broker and entrepreneur, also served as an executive pastor at Bethany Slavic Church in Ephrata, PA and was part of the ministry team for over 25 years. During the tour of the former Good Shepherd Regional School a new confidence came: this building would become a new community center and a church, not an investment property. Stepping out in faith, they made an offer and following its acceptance, acquired the building.

As the Rezniks began to discuss this with their church board and other pastors in the church community, DOVE Westgate Church of Ephrata, PA agreed to partner together with Bethany Slavic, and Konstantin and Diana, to plant a new church with both churches providing spiritual, people, training and financial resources as well as accountability and oversight structure. Thus “The Way Church of Minersville” was born.

The new church plant's tentative launch date is May, 2027.

WHY WE ARE HERE

Our Mission is to lead people to encounter Jesus Christ and to experience the power of the Holy Spirit, serve the spiritual and practical needs of the community, and equip leaders for multiplication.

We envision The Way Church of Minersville becoming a regional center of restoration and revival in the Coal Region — a church where broken lives are transformed, addicts find freedom, families are restored, and young people are raised up into purpose and leadership through the power of Jesus Christ.

A PLACE WITH A PURPOSE

Old walls.
New possibilities.

The former school at 315 St. Francis Street has stood in Minersville for a century. We hope to give this space a new chapter as a welcoming home for worship, relationships, and service.

There is real work ahead: repairing and renovating the building, preparing spaces for gatherings and children, and building a team ready to love this community well.
